James VI (I) 30 Shillings 1583 AU50 NGC, Edinburgh mint, S-5487. A particularly advanced example of this highly collectible type, imbued with a subtle peach undercurrent enveloping a fine, gunmetal patina. NGC currently notes only two certified of this date, a VF20 we sold in January and the current example, ranking at the peak of their census.
